FACHPACK 2021: A trade fair review

After a two-year break and many postponements due to the pandemic, the European trade fair for packaging, technology and processes was finally able to open its doors again in Nuremberg. The team of erka Verpackungssysteme GmbH was also on site this year to present automated packaging solutions live to the trade fair visitors.

This year, 782 exhibitors from a total of 34 countries will be presenting their latest product solutions to industry visitors under this year's keynote theme of "Environmentally Friendly Packaging". It turns out: The forced break due to Corona was used by some exhibitors to develop imaginative solutions for industry and trade.

 

Together with the Qpartners, our high-performance network partners, this year erka Verpackungssysteme GmbH again prepared a joint exhibition stand for the trade visitors. During the three days, numerous interested parties were able to examine and try out some in-house packaging machines, strapping machines and carton sealers in live operation.


Jürgen Lamberty, Managing Director of erka, states: "Our impression is that the topic of 'effective storage and packaging processes' is more topical than ever for manufacturers and retailers. The demand for process-optimized logistics solutions to increase efficiency is growing more and more in companies. We were happy to provide our stand visitors with detailed advice in this regard and to show them options for automated packaging solutions. The aspects of cost reduction, occupational health and safety, and reduction of downtime played a major role."

Lamberty goes on to state: "This year, too, we look back on our trade show appearance at FACHPACK in Nuremberg with great satisfaction. The preparation time was associated with uncertainty: Will enough trade fair visitors attend FACHPACK 2021 despite Corona? But we quickly noticed that although there were fewer visitors than usual directly on site, the visitors then approached the stands with particular interest and often had clear goals for their company. So we are delighted about the potential for exciting new business relationships! We are already looking forward to next year with much anticipation!"
