With around 60 members, the BVV serves as an association of suppliers in the field of transport packaging. The focus areas are adhesive tapes, cardboard packaging, strapping tapes, stretch films and machines. The annual two-day working conferences serve the members to exchange industry-specific and current economic topics.
Miles Lamberty, Managing Director of erka, looks back very positively on this year's conference: "The exchange with the members was also very exciting this year. The focus in many companies is the ongoing shortage of raw materials - especially in the area of wood and PP. Unfortunately, the associated price increases will continue to accompany us in the coming year and there is no relief in sight yet."
In the technical lecture "Changes to the Packaging Act", the participants learned about all the relevant changes to the Packaging Act (VerpackG) of 03 July 2021 for the placing of packaging on the market as well as the return and high-quality recycling of packaging waste. According to Miles Lamberty, another major topic among companies is the growing importance of ecological packaging alternatives. "With erka, we are already very well on the way to being able to offer our customers a wide range of ecological packaging alternatives".
